OUR COMPANY

The Vortex Group, LLC (“Vortex”) is a commercial real estate company specializing in tenant representation. The company was established in late 2002 by Rick Marek and Scott Grayson who had previously been at Julien J. Studley Inc. Both Rick and Scott have more than thirty years of experience in the Manhattan office space marketplace. Jordan Mandel joined Vortex as the third principal in 2009 after twelve years of experience as a real estate professional. Our Manhattan headquarters are located at 570 Lexington Avenue (at 51st Street).

The entire focus of the company is to assist tenants with their office space requirements. We accept no landlord assignments to eliminate conflicting loyalties. Preferring to avoid conflicting allegiances to landlords, the company does not manage property, not does it have any residential, industrial, or agency departments. Vortex’s professionals become involved on a daily basis with a specific tenant’s office space situation, providing analytical and negotiation skills, as well as extensive knowledge of the marketplace.

Since the Vortex company’s founding, we have completed headquarters assignments for a host of prominent tenants, including Lazard Freres & Co., LLC, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and our former mayor’s law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani LLP.

The company’s organizational structure allows us to work as a team in producing the comprehensive skills and services needed for each assignment.
